ILFORD LIGHTROOM PRESETS
PUSH & PULL COLLECTION
9 distinctive ILFORD film interpretations. 18 professional Lightroom presets. Over 30 years of photographic experience.
There is something unmistakable about ILFORD black and white film. The expressive grain and documentary strength of HP5 Plus. The delicate tonal transitions of FP4 Plus. The extraordinary fine detail of Pan F 50. The refined contrast of Delta 100 and the atmospheric intensity of Delta 3200. These films have long been part of the language of professional monochrome photography.
Developed by British fashion, advertising and portrait photographer James Nader, this collection draws directly upon his own experience shooting ILFORD films for commercial clients, editorial assignments and personal photographic projects. Nine individually crafted film interpretations, three specialist darkroom finishes and six push/pull variations provide 18 creative Lightroom presets, developed to capture the visual essence of analogue film within a modern digital workflow.
From fashion and portraiture to documentary, architecture and fine art, MF06 gives photographers considered tonal starting points that can be refined through exposure, contrast, shadow density, monochrome mixing and grain. These are not simply one-click filters, but personal digital interpretations shaped by decades of working with real film, lighting and darkroom techniques.
Includes a custom illustrated 13-page PDF Field Guide with installation instructions, film characteristics and professional creative guidance.

Make the Preset Your Own
Every photograph responds differently to an Ilford-inspired preset. The secret is knowing what to adjust. Start with contrast and blacks. Make subtle adjustments to preserve shadow detail and tonal separation.
Refine the grain. ISO 1600–3200 interpretations can have pronounced grain. Adjust Grain Amount, Size and Roughness to suit your subject and desired finish.
Balance the tones. Fine-tune highlights, shadows and the Tone Curve to control the image's dynamic range and atmosphere.
Lightroom, Lightroom Mobile and Adobe Camera Raw offer closely related processing, although controls and viewing conditions can affect your final interpretation. The preset provides the film character. Your adjustments make the photograph yours.
