Travel Cinematic is a collection of 125 Lightroom presets developed by British fashion, advertising and portrait photographer James Nader, drawing on over 30 years of professional experience in photography, colour, lighting and visual storytelling.
Inspired by the streets of Havana, cinematic travel photography and the expressive qualities of analogue colour, the collection brings together 25 individual colour interpretations. Each is designed to introduce its own balance of warmth, contrast, colour separation, shadow density and cinematic atmosphere.
From sun-washed pastels and faded urban colour to deep cinematic shadows, muted architecture and rich atmospheric tones, these presets offer photographers a versatile creative starting point for developing a distinctive travel photography style.
Every colour grade includes five variations:
MATTE — Faded colour, lifted blacks and softer cinematic contrast.
SOFT — Gentle tonal transitions and restrained colour density.
ORIGINAL — The signature interpretation of each cinematic grade.
EV+ — A brighter version for photographs requiring additional exposure.
POWER — Greater contrast, deeper tonal density and stronger cinematic character.
Together, these create 125 individual Lightroom presets, giving photographers flexibility across different lighting conditions, subjects and creative intentions.
DEVELOP YOUR OWN CINEMATIC LANGUAGE
Travel Cinematic is not designed to make every photograph look identical.
The presets provide a carefully developed starting point. Your original exposure, white balance, lighting conditions, camera profile and captured dynamic range will influence the result.
After applying a preset, refine exposure, highlights, shadows and colour to suit your photograph. Reduce grain where necessary, then adjust contrast to achieve the intended balance.
